Brake pedal return

Post by steve GT VW » Tue Sep 01, 2020 2:07 pm

Hi All
I have an issue where my brake pedal does not return, brakes work fine but when pressed the pedal stays down, can you advise if there is a brake return spring fitted on the pedal mechanism?

only way to get the pedal to return at present is after using the brake is to place foot under pedal and re lift it back in to place or alternatively I will have to use a small bungee cord.

There is a spring on the pedal, check yours is not broken.

Had this problem with my Corrado, but on the clutch pedal (hydraulic clutch). 'Twas a faulty master cylinder.

sorry to hijack thread but if you wanted to adjust the pedal postion is there facilty to do it?
maybe slacken the buts on rods 5 and 19 to tweak the lengths?
