IT'S NOT DIFFICULT - follow the simple template, include as much info as possible. NO TRADERS. NO PRICE? thread will be deleted without checking. Using English and Paragraphs always a winner too.

1990 Scala £1500 Lancashire NOW SOLD

Model: Scala
Year: 1990
Mileage: 197711
MOT: Due in November. Will get one done.
Current owner: Me
V5 present: Yes
Location: Ribble Valley, Lancashire. 8 miles along A59 from J31 M6
Price:£1500
Contact: Phone 01254 246117 or e-mail jem.lees1@gmail.com
I have had this car for 12 years, my son for 5 years before as a daily driver, it is a sound, reliable car.
It has some bodywork marks but no major rust, sound underneath. The MOT tester always remarks on its good condition. Whilst the driver's door looks good, it will need some work to the bottom within a few years. Interior is good apart from the outside bolsters on the driver's seat which have worn through the fabric. Always garaged at home. Ideally I would like it to go to someone who will appreciate it, not bought to be broken for spares, it's an old and valued friend. It's just not getting used now as I have use of a modern Fabia and need the space as I have a Mk2 cabriolet being delivered from Ant soon. (3 Sciroccos is just greedy!)
Fuel tank and filler pipe replaced 2012.
Water hoses all replaced with silicone ones 3 years ago.
Cylinder head refurbished (Weir Street Engineering, Blackburn), new cam belt fitted (193562 miles) 2 years ago.
New water thermostat, thermaswitch for radiator fan, water temperature switch, oil pressure switch replaced during lockdown.
Please e-mail me for photos if interested as my very limited computer skills mean I am unable to post photos on here (don't bother telling me how to do it, 'cos I won't understand!) Or telephone me or reply on here if you have any questions. I am willing to discuss price with the right person or some deserving cause!

Hi Matt,
I have agreed a sale, pending my getting an MOT.
If it collapses, you are on a list of 3 who are interested.
I will post on here when money is in my bank!
Jem

Completed the sale yesterday evening.
The car is being picked up today to go to its new life in Gloucestershire. The guy who bought it, David Heaton, sounds keen and enthusiastic, he is also a motorcycle enthusiast: double good!
